Conveyancing Solicitor – Glasgow (Assignment 15399)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this senior property role with our client, a successful law firm and estate agents in Glasgow. This busy firm is currently recruiting an experienced solicitor to lead its conveyancing department within its busy high street practice in Glasgow.

The role will include interesting and quality work such as purchase, sales, transfers of titles and domestic conveyancing. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the department and providing support to more junior level lawyers.

The firm is keen to hear from candidates at the 3 years PQE level and upwards with extensive experience of conveyancing and property law.

Legal Counsel (Property & Renewables) – Glasgow (Assignment 15426)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this new In-House role with our client, a renewable energy company which is one of the largest in the world. The role is based in the company’s Glasgow office. The role will be full-time on a permanent basis.

The company is currently recruiting an experienced Legal Counsel to join its highly regarded Legal team. The role will focus primarily on property work with some aspects of planning; its purpose is to provide support to an increasing number of renewable energy projects such as onshore wind, solar and battery storage. You can also expect to work closely with and provide support to the development teams within the business such as technology and commercial.

To be considered for this position, you should be a qualified lawyer in either Scotland or England and Wales and have between 1-2 years’ PQE. Dual qualified would be advantageous, otherwise candidates should show a willingness to become dual qualified.  Previous experience of property law is required as well as strong knowledge of the energy sector.

Commercial Property Solicitor – Glasgow / Hybrid (Assignment 15378)

This growing organisation is currently recruiting an ambitious Solicitor who is keen to grow their career in-house.  The role reports to the Legal Director and the main focus is commercial property and some commercial contract work.  Commercial leasing is a large part of the role, as well as sale and purchase, and occasional property development work.  There could be opportunity to be involved in more varied work, depending on the successful candidate’s experience, such as banking and IP.

To be considered for this role you should be at 2+ years’ PQE level with commercial property experience, however, candidates out with this level would also be considered. This role is part-time, between 2.5 and 4 days, although the hours could be completed over 5 days.  Hybrid working is on offer.

Interim Real Estate Lawyer – Edinburgh (Assignment 15549)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this temporary property role with our client, a global multinational law practice. The post will run from mid-November to the end of the year with the possibility of extension. The firm is currently recruiting an interim solicitor to join its well-established practice in Edinburgh; the post will sit within the firms alternative legal and compliance department.

This is a unique and interesting role, and the successful candidate will be involved in all a range of real estate matters including residential conveyancing, lender requirements, sasine and searches. Previous experience of real estate/conveyancing is required. The team is open to level of candidate with a qualification in Scots Law; they are keen to speak with those who can work independently and hit the ground running.

Commercial Property – Glasgow (Assignment 14590)

This dynamic law firm is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its busy Commercial Property Team.  The team advise on a range of interesting work and will be responsible for advising developers, investors, lenders, public institutions, hospitality and retail.  You will advise on the following commercial property matters –

  • Acquisitions & Disposal
  • Investment & Development
  • Commercial Leasing
  • Property Finance

To be considered for this position you should have between 1-6 years’ PQE and have commercial property experience.  Candidates with more of less experience would also be considered. This is a full-time role.

Senior Solicitor/Associate Commercial Property – Glasgow (Assignment 14581)

We are currently with Miller Samuel Hill Brown, as sole agency, on this commercial property role in Glasgow.  The team specialises in all aspects of property law in Scotland, dealing with acquisitions and disposals of all sizes, from the smallest industrial unit to large scale developments.

This is a broad role which involves all aspects of general commercial property work including:

  • purchase and sale of land/buildings
  • retail/general leasing
  • property finance
  • the Scottish element of cross border transactions
  • property due diligence

To be considered for this position you should have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE level who has significant experience in the area and of handling sensitive and complex cases; there is also scope for progression to Legal Director level. Although this is a full-time role, candidates wishing to work 4 days would be considered. This role offers great prospects!

Full-time/Part-time, Land & Property Lawyers – Glasgow (Assignment 15151)

This successful firm currently has a need for a qualified Lawyer to join its Land & Property Team. The role will be based in Glasgow; however, the firm support a hybrid working approach.

You will be handling and develop a workload in one or more of residential, commercial, and rural conveyancing.

The ideal candidate will be Scottish qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience, but junior lawyers with strong training and experience would also be considered. You will deal with the sale, purchase and leasing of farms, estates, forests, fishing’s, country homes and other rural properties and development transactions.

The role will be focussed on one or more of the areas described above, depending on candidates’ particular experience or desire to specialise in particular field of property work. This is a full-time or part-time position with a firm who offer excellent support and opportunity to build your career.
