A well-established Scottish Law firm currently has an open vacancy for an accomplished Lawyer with expertise in rural property. The successful candidate will join its dynamic Rural Business Team in Edinburgh.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of 2 years’ PQE with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the rural sector and rural property work. The team will also consider lawyers with experience in commercial property and has a genuine interest in moving into this area. Key tasks will include:

  • Providing advice to landowners on rural development including residential, renewables, telecommunications and quarrying.
  • Purchase and sale of estates, farms, forestry and other rural land.
  • Ongoing management legal advice to estates and rural businesses of all sizes including sales of bare land, sales of residential properties, and advising on issues such as land reform, trustee/partnership conveyancing, creation of title conditions.
  • Advising on other types of lettings, such as commercial, residential, sportings and amenity leases.
  • Title queries relating to complex Sasines titles including boundary disputes, access issues and title conditions.
