Solicitor, PRC – Glasgow/Hybrid (Assignment 15762)

The successful candidate will handle an interesting caseload of work for a variety of insurance clients, as well as handling property damage claims and some motor recovery claims.

The ideal candidate for this role will be at the NQ-2 years’ PQE with experience in handling pre- and post-litigated recovery files for insurer clients. Previous experience in defending low-value property damage claims would also be beneficial. The team requires someone with a good understanding of the processes in relation to drafting court documents and can adhere to deadlines in accordance with court timetables.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside specialists within a friendly environment and gain valuable experience and knowledge in this particular area.

Legal Counsel – Dundee (Assignment 15759)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this new In-House Legal Counsel role with our client, a well-established public sector organisation. The organisations highly regarded Legal team is currently seeking a qualified lawyer to join its busy office in Dundee on a full-time basis; the ideal candidate will be at the 1+ PQE level with an unrestricted practicing certificate.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Legal and will be responsible for providing accurate advice to several clients in relation to commercial contracts and risk management. The team is keen to hear from candidates with previous experience in these areas, however, is also open to those with general commercial experience as long as they have relevant transferable skills.

The team currently operates a flexible/hybrid working policy with an expectation of 3 days office presence, however, there is scope for some flexibility on this.

Projects Lawyer – Edinburgh (Assignment 15703)

A newly created position is now available in the Public Law & Projects team at an international law firm in its Edinburgh office. This presents a unique opportunity for a Projects Lawyer with 1-5 years’ PQE, well-versed in contract law. Candidates with experience servicing both public and private sector clients are encouraged to apply. Commercial contracts experience is essential.  Experience in the waste & heat networks would be favourable. This position is full-time.

Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor – Glasgow (Assignment 15724)

This independent Scottish law firm specialising in personal and commercial law, is currently seeking a qualified lawyer to join its Construction team in Glasgow on a full-time basis. The purpose of the role is to provide support and advice on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters; the successful candidate will also be involved in procurement processes, projects and contract structures.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer at the NQ-3 PQE level, ideally with previous experience of construction law (particularly non-contentious matters) however, this is not essential as training will be provided if required.

Corporate Lawyer – Highlands, Islands and Moray/Hybrid (Assignment 15725)

This award-winning law firm currently has a new vacancy for a lawyer to join its Corporate team; the firm operate a hybrid working basis and the post can be held in either Inverness or Elgin (or surrounding areas). The team is one of the largest in the country and covers a variety of complex corporate transactions including commercial contracts, M&A, corporate restructuring, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

This is a mainly client facing role and the team is keen to speak with lawyers at the 1-6 years PQE, ideally with previous experience of corporate transactions. The role would be suited to those with connections to the Highlands, Islands & Moray, however this is not essential. This is a full-time position with real career progression prospects.

Property & Infrastructure Disputes – Edinburgh/Glasgow (Assignment 15717)

This innovative law firm currently has an open vacancy for a senior lawyer to join its Construction and Infrastructure Disputes team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This is an interesting opportunity, and the purpose of the role is to support the team in representing major contractors and employers in complex dispute matters. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate range of legal knowledge and experience, deliver high-quality advice to commercial clients, assist in documenting settlements and dispute-related agreements and help to identify strategies to manage work, objectives and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have between 3-6 years PQE, ideally with previous experience of property or construction disputes; exposure to sensitive and complex cases would also be beneficial. The position is full-time with hybrid working options available, and the team is also willing to consider those seeking part-time work.
