Our client, a financial services organisation based in Scotland, is currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join its busy in-house team for an interim period of 6-10 months. This is an interesting role where you will support the team on various aspects of financial services and pensions. Some of your duties will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts.
  • Developing knowledge and understanding of key area’s propositions, core business and associated risks.
  • Support proposition and client-based projects with legal advice.
  • Drafting best practice notes, developing and maintaining processes, policies, guidance, and templates and assisting in training.

The firm is keen to hear from candidates with 1 year PQE or more, who are qualified either in Scotland or England. Previous experience in the retail financial market, pensions or with a professional services firm would be advantageous but candidates with general commercial contracts experience will also be considered.

This role can be office based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, or fully remote with some travel to the office.
