This global law firm is currently recruiting a Dispute Resolution Associate to join its team in Jersey.  This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for all aspects of the preparation and conduct of proceedings in courts and other tribunals. This will include insolvency proceedings as well as advice on all matters involving disputes or potential disputes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of each assigned client’s business and business philosophy.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of the law, both locally and internationally.
  • Drafting skeleton arguments and submissions.
  • Advising clients, in keeping with internal policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of client matters assigned to the Litigation and Insolvency Practice Group.
  • Mentoring less experienced lawyers where required.

To be considered for this position you will be at the 1-4 years’ PQE level with strong academic qualifications. You will have knowledge of litigation proceedings and relevant advocacy skills appropriate to level of qualification. Excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality are essential.
