Senior Associate, Finance & Corporate – Guernsey / Hybrid (Assignment 15166)

Our client, a financial law firm, is currently recruiting a Senior Associate to join its leading Corporate team based in Guernsey. Working as part of a focused, partner-led team, you will play an active role in the day to day running of corporate matters and business development activities, under supervision of a Partner.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Obtain clear instructions from clients, provide legal advice, and prepare relevant documentation for Partner review
  • Manage own matters and provide assistance to junior fee earners involved in such matters
  • Ensure that Partners’ time is used efficiently by organising queries and seeking to identify own solutions to problems
  • Act as the client contact point on any allocated matter

To be considered for this opportunity, ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years’ pqe, however candidates with less pqe will be considered based on their relevant technical knowledge and skills. You will have a proven ability to grasp complex legal information in order to provide sound legal advice as well as strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and work autonomously. Associate, Finance & Corporate – Guernsey (Assignment 15165)

Our client, a financial law firm, is currently recruiting an Associate to join its growing Corporate team based in Guernsey. You will play an active role in the day to day running of corporate matters and business development activities, under supervision of a Partner or Senior Associate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the client contact point on any allocated matter
  • Obtain clear instructions from clients, provide legal advice and prepare relevant documentation for Partner review
  • Ensure administrative tasks are completed on each matter in accordance with required internal procedures

To be considered for this opportunity you will have up to 4 years’ pqe with trainee experience gained in one or more of the practices of corporate law, banking & finance, investment funds and financial services. You will have a proven ability to grasp complex legal information in order to provide sound legal advice as well as strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and work autonomously. Part-time, Knowledge Lawyer – Guernsey / Jersey (Assignment 15164)

This award-winning Law Firm is currently recruiting a Knowledge Lawyer to join its Knowledge Management team in Jersey or Guernsey.  You will be part of their global knowledge function, working closely with the Head of Knowledge and KM Partners.

You can expect a varied working day, with responsibilities including:

Championing and actively delivering all aspects of the firm’s knowledge strategy and working closely with legal teams and business service functions

  • Keeping the practice area up to date with new legal and regulatory developments
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of automation projects and KM client solutions
  • Providing support on tenders and pitches
  • Working with the Head of KM to define and agree knowledge priorities each year
  • Undertaking closed file reviews to gather know-how and future learning

To be considered for this role you will have at least 5 years’ PQE with experience as an offshore lawyer, solid technical ability, a client centric and commercial approach, and a passion for your work and the work of KM and it’s benefits to the firm. You will have strong commercial awareness, a proven ability to manage and prioritise tasks as well as a solution driven attitude to problems. The role is offered on a part-time basis. Dispute Resolution Associate – Guernsey (Assignment 15162)

Our client, a leading law firm in the Channel Islands, currently has a need for an experienced Solicitor to join its highly regarded Dispute Resolution team in Guernsey.

You will work closely with clients dealing with disputes, litigation, and insolvency matters. You will represent the team and work with other law firms, agencies, and government representatives involved with the clients matters.

The ideal candidate should be between the 2-5 years’ PQE level with previous litigation experience together with strong academics.  This is an exciting opportunity for those who wish to make a move to the Channel Islands and be part of a friendly team in an inclusive environment.

Associate, Litigation – Guernsey (Assignment 14522)

Our client, an award-winning law firm, has instructed us on a new role within its Litigation team. The firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its office based in Guernsey in the Channel Islands.  The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of litigation including insolvencies, trust disputes, boardroom battles, regulatory enforcement and arbitration, and fraud and asset recovery.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the promotion and development of the litigation team
  • Providing an efficient and high-quality legal support service to the partners (or senior lawyers) across all aspects of their client work
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff as appropriate
  • Taking personal responsibility for the management of matters (with appropriate supervision depending on your level)
  • Carrying out research, writing opinions, reviewing documentation, drafting, and preparing cases for court

The ideal candidate for this position will be between 2-5 years PQE with relevant litigation experience.  Applicants should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a client focussed approach and be enthusiastic about their work.  The position is full time and a unique opportunity for solicitors who are considering a move to the Channel Islands.

Associate, Corporate M&A – Jersey (Assignment 15163)

This successful offshore law firm is currently recruiting for an experienced solicitor to join its reputable corporate team in Jersey.  You will be part of one of the largest corporate teams in the Channel Islands and will advise on all aspects of M&A and transactional matters.

The ideal candidate for this position will have between 2-6 years PQE with previous experience of working in a corporate environment. You should also have prior knowledge of M&A and an excellent academic background. This is an opportunity to make a move to the Channel Islands if this were something of interest.

Associate, Corporate – Jersey (Assignment 14981)

This Channel Island firm is currently recruiting a Corporate Solicitor to be based in its Jersey office. This highly regarded corporate team is renowned for its high quality and expert service. The role would allow you to advise on some of the most cutting-edge work taking place in the offshore world while working in a flexible and supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will be newly qualified, ideally with recent seats within funds, corporate or banking and finance. You will have a desire to get involved with a variety of transactional matters and have a personable and ambitious nature. Superior academics and top-quality training are essential. Counsel, Dispute Resolution – Jersey/Remote (Assignment 14897)

Our client, a professional services law firm, currently has a need for a Senior Litigator to join its busy Dispute Resolution team. The role is based in Jersey with the additional benefit of hybrid working on offer.

The role will involve:

  • Advising on regulatory matters.
  • Managing financial activities in line with group protocols including time recording, billing, WIP and debt.
  • Actively generating business for the practice area, the team and the wider group through existing and new client contacts.

The ideal candidate should be 3 – 6 years PQE with previous experience in dispute resolution, regulatory and general commercial litigation.

Associate/Senior Associate, ITPC – Jersey/Remote (Assignment 14896)

Our client, a financial law firm, is currently recruiting an Associate/Senior Associate to join its growing International Trusts and Private Client team (ITPC) based in Jersey. Within this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues in dispute resolution, on trust matters, and will also work alongside the corporate team, on private funds and corporate structures for private clients.

To be considered for this opportunity you should hold a Solicitor or Barrister qualification, preferably gained within a common law jurisdiction have at least 3 years PQE. A strong background in private client and financial services is preferred.
