Associate, Dispute Resolution – Guernsey (Assignment 15754)

This offshore law firm is currently recruiting a litigation lawyer to join its busy Dispute Resolution Team in Guernsey. The position is full-time, and the successful candidate will join a team of diverse lawyers from different backgrounds and levels of experience.

The team provides professional advice on all aspects of dispute resolution including contentious commercial issues. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling restructuring and insolvency matters.
  • Producing fee estimates and quotations and ensure clients are fully informed as to the fees and disbursements that will be incurred on each matter.
  • Managing your own financial responsibilities including time recording, billing, WIP and debt.
  • Staying up to date with new legislation and topics of interest in the relevant markets and how these changes affect clients and matters is also key.

The ideal candidate for this position will have between 1-3 years’ PQE with a background in litigation. Previous experience in handling complex commercial disputes would be beneficial.

Corporate – Jersey (Assignment 15797)

We have been instructed on this new corporate role with an offshore law firm based in the Channel Islands. The firm is currently recruiting a newly qualified lawyer to join its award-winning Corporate Team in Jersey on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of corporate law. The team is keen to hear from candidates who have completed seats in corporate, banking, funds, or finance during their traineeship, within a reputable law firm. While the completion of these seats would be beneficial, it is not essential. A strong academic background is crucial to the role.

This role presents the opportunity for junior-level lawyers to gain valuable experience within a highly regarded team. The firm also provides flexibility to employees through a hybrid working policy. We would be delighted to chat in more detail about living and working in the Channel Islands.

Banking & Finance – Jersey / Hybrid (Assignment 15865)

This international law firm is currently recruiting a lawyer to join its global Banking and Finance team in Jersey. This is a highly regarded team that is consistently recognised throughout the industry, with many of its members being acknowledged by Legal 500.

The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the partners and provide input regarding fee estimates and quotes. You will also be expected to keep up to date with new legislation and topics of interest in the relevant markets.

The ideal candidate for this role will have up to 4 years’ PQE, and newly qualified lawyers will also be considered. Interested applicants should have prior experience of banking and finance matters. Previous Jersey banking and finance experience would be beneficial, though not essential.

Litigation (Dispute Resolution) – Jersey/Hybrid (Assignment 15714)

Exciting opportunity to join a law-firm-led business which focuses mainly on the financial sector. This award-winning firm is currently seeking a qualified lawyer to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Jersey.

The purpose of this role is to advise on a variety of sensitive and highly complex disputes, whilst providing support to more senior litigators within the team. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for clients on allocated matters, and following instruction will prepare and draft documents for review by a senior associate or partner.  You will also have the opportunity to manage your own cases and provide support to more junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified lawyer at the NQ-2 PQE level with previous litigation experience. Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to grasp complex legal information and the ability to draft a variety of legal documents.

Head of Employment – Jersey/Guernsey (Assignment 15653)

This full-service offshore law firm is currently recruiting a Head of Employment Solicitor to work across its Employment Teams in Jersey and Guernsey. This experienced team provides specialised, strategic, and pragmatic legal advice on Guernsey, Jersey and Cayman Islands employment laws.

As Head of Employment, you will take principal charge of the Employment Team and employment law matters in Jersey and Guernsey. You will provide technical legal advice to clients across a number of practice areas, primarily litigation and financial services law. You will also identify and follow through with opportunities to grow the employment practice and the business.

To be considered for this role you will have at least 7 years’ PQE with a Jersey, Guernsey and/or UK qualification.

You will be client focussed with a strong commercial awareness, sound judgement and self-motivated with a solution driven attitude to problems.

This is a fantastic opportunity to live and work in the Channel Islands on a full-time basis.

Senior Associate, Litigation – Jersey (Assignment 15569)

This award-winning Law Firm is currently recruiting a Senior Associate to join its Litigation team in Jersey. The team is involved in a wide range of litigation work, taking instructions from a broad spectrum of organisations as well as private individuals based worldwide.

You can expect a varied working day dealing with litigation matters such as trust disputes, insolvencies, fraud and asset recovery, and arbitration.

To be considered for this role you will have at least 5 years’ PQE with significant experience in the practice area. You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to time manage and prioritise as well as strong interpersonal skills, building on new client relationships whilst maintaining strong existing relationships.

The role is offered on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to live and work in the Channel Islands.
