Private Client Solicitor – Edinburgh (Assignment 15882)

This award-winning law firm and estate agents is currently seeking a Lawyer to join its busy Private Client Team in Edinburgh. The purpose of the role is to provide professional advice to a variety of clients on all aspects of private client matters, and the successful candidate will also work closely with other teams within the firm including corporate, family, and residential property.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting clients to take instructions, including explaining the executry process generally.
  • Attending to all day-to-day aspects of the administration of estates.
  • Communicating with other professionals, financial institutions, and service providers.
  • Investigating assets in executry estates.
  • Distribution of estates to beneficiaries.
  • Examining titles, advising, and preparing deeds of evacuation of survivorship destinations.

The team is keen to hear from candidates at the 2-6 years’ PQE level with previous experience of private client work and handling complex and sensitive cases. A STEP qualification is desirable, however not essential, and interested applicants who may wish to become STEP qualified can do so through the firms ‘Funded Learning Scheme’.

Private Client Senior Associate – Edinburgh (Assignment 13925)

Our client, a UK law firm, is seeking a qualified solicitor to join its private client team in Edinburgh. The position is based within the Personal and Family practice area. The firm is open to level of candidates, ideally with 6+ years’ PQE. The role will involve wills, powers of attorney, and executries and trusts.  It will also afford the exposure to estate planning for high net worth clients and cross border work.  Applicants should be passionate and well-versed in this area of the law and have experience of dealing with complex private client cases.

The firm can offer a competitive salary and has a hybrid working policy.

Private Client Partner opportunity! (Assignment 11542)

Our client is seeking an additional private client partner to join its firm in Glasgow.  The ideal candidate will be at least 10 years’ PQE with experience in private client work. This role would suit someone interested in the opportunity to lead or develop a team. This firm offers a positive working environment and the role offers a competitive salary and benefits package. This is a unique role with a firm committed to investing in this area.

Legal Director, Head of Private Client – Edinburgh/Hybrid (Assignment 15937)

Exciting opportunity for a Legal Director to join this friendly firm in Edinburgh. The firm specialises mainly in family and property law, as well as private client, and is currently looking for a Legal Director to head its Private Client department.

The successful candidate will lead the department, ensuring high quality service to clients. You will be responsible for providing legal advice to the firm’s family law and property law teams whilst maintaining financial targets, both personally and for the department.  The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ PQE with extensive private client work experience, be STEP qualified, have had experience of managing a team and is likely to be a senior associate or a legal director. Previous experience of handling sensitive and complex cases is also desirable.

This post offers clear prospects for partnership. Hybrid working is available, and the employees are expected to attend the office at least one day per week.

Private Client Solicitor – Scotland (Assignment 12497)

Our client is currently recruiting a Private Client Solicitor to join its busy growing team. You will advise clients on all aspects of wills, trusts, executries, adults with incapacity matters and estate planning (to include inheritance and capital gains tax issues). Being STEP qualified and/or dual Scots/English qualified will be helpful although is not essential.  The firm is open to level of candidate from NQ level upwards and the position can be based in any of the firm’s offices across Scotland.

Associate/Senior Associate, Private Client – Glasgow/Edinburgh (Assignment 15633)

Join a renowned law firm in Glasgow as they grow their Private Client team, with openings for an Asset Protection Associate. Your main responsibility would be to deliver client-focused legal services, specifically in the areas of tax and succession planning.

The role encompasses providing counsel on Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax, preparing wills, engaging in comprehensive estate planning, managing Powers of Attorney, overseeing intricate executry administration, and handling the establishment and management of trusts.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE level with a proven track record of providing a good client experience. This is a full-time or part-time position with a firm who offer excellent support and agile working environment.
