Solicitor, Employment Team – Glasgow (Assignment 15895)

This specialist litigation firm is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its busy Employment Team in Glasgow.  You will join a highly regarded team and the main focus of the role is to advise clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters including employer negligence, grievance matters, settlements, employment contracts, policies, and redundancy programmes.

The successful candidate can expect to represent claimant and respondent clients in Employment Tribunal cases. Your key tasks will include:

• Responsibility for all Employment Tribunal proceedings including drafting pleadings, taking witness statements and appearances at the Employment Tribunal.
• Managing a diverse caseload of contentious employment work and operating a sophisticated case management system.
• Responsibility for all client communications.

The ideal candidate for this role will be at the NQ-5 years’ PQE level, ideally with employment law experience. Previous experience of risk management would also be beneficial.

Employment Law – Edinburgh (Assignment 15902)

Due to business growth, this niche Employment Law business, based in Edinburgh, is recruiting an Employment Lawyer.  This role would suit candidates with 3 years’ PQE and above, who have experience in employments tribunals.  Applications from those seeking part-time work will also be considered.

The position will report directly into Head of Employment and will involve:

• Management of client relationships
• Provision of employment law advice
• Creation of technical content for articles & events
• Preparation for and representation at Employment Tribunal

Managing Associate, Employment Lawyer – Glasgow (Assignment 15922)

Our client, an award-winning UK-based Law Firm, is currently recruiting for a Senior Associate/Managing Associate to join its Employment Team in Glasgow. This market-leading team is growing and is responsible for advising resident employment advice in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will have a senior role in a highly regarded team and will be involved in all aspects of employment law. Key tasks will include:

• Handling complex Employment Tribunal cases, primarily representing Respondents.
• Guiding employers through workplace challenges: disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring, and redundancies.
• Enforcing post-termination restrictive covenants.
• Drafting employment contracts, consultancy agreements, handbooks, settlement agreements, and related documentation.
• Utilising your expertise in advising major corporations, including working with senior HR, general counsel, and in-house employment counsel, to advance in a senior capacity.

The team is keen to receive applications from candidates with at least 7 years’ PQE, preferably with dual qualifications in both Scotland and England. The team will also consider applications from candidates out-with this PQE level. Interested candidates should have prior experience in supervision or management roles and should demonstrate strong communication skills, along with the confidence to interact effectively with clients and colleagues across different levels.

Our client, a Scottish full-service firm, is seeking a number of senior level lawyers to join its teams in Glasgow. Due to continued growth in the West Coast, the firm has Senior level to Partner level opportunities across a range of practice areas, including Employment Law.
