This well‑established Scottish law firm is recruiting an experienced Trust Compliance Officer to join its highly regarded Private Client and Trust practice. This is an excellent opportunity to support a leading team known for advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families, estates, and trustees across complex trust, tax, and regulatory matters.

The role will involve supporting trust governance, regulatory compliance, and reporting obligations across the firm, including:

  • Maintaining and enhancing trust‑related compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Providing guidance to fee‑earners on trust governance, AML, onboarding requirements and regulatory expectations
  • Leading CRS compliance activities, including trust classification, due diligence, and annual reporting
  • Managing trust register and TRS oversight, ensuring accuracy, verification, and timely updates

The firm is seeking a candidate with experience in CRS/FATCA, AML, financial crime compliance, fiduciary regulation, or related transparency regimes. You should have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to interpret legislation and apply it practically. Previous experience in a law firm, financial services provider, fiduciary business, or other regulated professional environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of trust structures, TRS requirements, or UK trust law is desirable, although training can be provided.
