Practice Area: business development, Business Support, Operations & Internal Roles
Level: Part-time, Assistant, Associate
Section: Law Firm
Location: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scotland
Ref: 5956

This leading Scottish law firm is recruiting a Legal Directories Solicitor to join its Business Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong legal writer to play a key role in shaping the firm’s profile and reputation, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders on high-profile legal directories submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating and delivering submissions for major legal directories, including Chambers and Legal 500
  • Drafting, editing and proofreading high-quality, evidence-led submissions and supporting materials
  • Liaising with partners, solicitors and client advisers to gather matter information, referee details and market feedback
  • Monitoring rankings, maintaining submission records and helping to develop the firm’s legal directories strategy

Applicants should have experience in legal writing, legal practice, business development, bids, or legal directories work, together with excellent drafting, editing and organisational skills. Candidates should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, managing multiple deadlines, and producing clear and persuasive written content. A legal qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will be joining a collaborative and ambitious team, offering the opportunity to make a visible impact on the firm’s growth and market profile. Flexible part-time working arrangements are available, alongside a competitive salary and benefits package.
