Corporate Solicitor – Aberdeen

Our client is looking to recruit a Corporate Solicitor to join the team in the Aberdeen office.  This is a great opportunity to join a growing team who advise a range of clients including entrepreneurs and SMEs, banks, funds and investors.

You will advise of all aspects of corporate matters including business advisory and transactional requirements.  Your key duties will include:

  • Assisting with project management of transactions
  • Drafting main transactional / complex legal documents
  • Advising on corporate transactions including due diligence enquiries and disclosure aspects of a transaction, preparing and negotiating ancillary documents, assisting with completion meetings and completion process

To be considered for this position you should be at the NQ – 3 years’ PQE level and have previous experience working in a busy corporate team.  You should have knowledge of company law and corporate transactions. (Assignment 14573)

Defender Personal Injury Solicitor – Glasgow/Edinburgh/Hybrid

This busy Personal Injury Team is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join the team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.  You will deal with a range of personal injury claims on behalf a number of insurer clients and main tasks will include:

  • Handling motor, employment, and civil litigation claims from start to finish.
  • Acting upon instructions to prepare and investigate the facts surrounding the claim including Interviewing witnesses, preparing statements and instruct/liaise with expert witnesses.
  • Preparing reports for clients, ensuring that all relevant information is gathered and appropriately collated in case management systems.
  • Drafting letters, court documents and other written submissions.

To be considered for this role, you should be at the NQ – 4 years’ PQE level and have previous experience in motor related claims resolution/litigation. Trainee solicitors qualifying in 2023 will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.   This position is full time with flexible working options available and a competitive salary. Non-Contentious Construction Associate – Glasgow/Edinburgh/Remote

This Non-Contentious Construction team currently has a need for a Solicitor/Senior Solicitor.  You will be involved in high-profile projects and advise developers, SPV project companies, owners, lenders, contractors, and equipment suppliers across the UK and internationally.   The role will involve providing non-contentious construction advice on a range of high-profile projects across real estate development and investment, energy, transportation and infrastructure projects.

To be considered for this position you should be at the NQ-3 years’ PQE level and have previous experience of advising on construction contracts, however, the firm will also consider candidates with commercial property or commercial litigation experience with an interest in this area. PRC Solicitor (Property, Recovery & Casualty team) – Glasgow

Our client, a leading provider of legal and claims solutions to the insurance sector, is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its busy practice based in Glasgow. The role sits within the organisations Property, Recovery & Casualty team. The successful candidate will be involved in running their own case load of pre- and post-litigation property damage files, adhering to court deadlines, instructing experts, negotiating settlements, drafting pleadings and court documents, carrying out detailed reviews of quantum and managing files in accordance with court timetables.

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified solicitor between 1 – 5 years PQE and have previous experience of insurer funded property damage work as well as experience of conducting court hearings. NQ solicitors and early 2023 qualifiers will also be considered. Interested candidates should have a keen eye for detail and an ability to analyse evidence, work as part of a team, and have genuine prospects to grow their career and knowledge. (Assignment 14541)

Private Client Solicitor – South Lanarkshire

This innovative law firm are currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its Private Client Team. This role is based in South Lanarkshire and would suit candidates at NQ level and above. Early 2023 qualifiers will also be considered.

You will be involved in all aspects of private client work and in particular executries work.   This is an exciting role that has genuine prospects, as well as scope for some WFH and part-time working. (Assignment 14224)

NQ, Private Client Solicitor – Edinburgh

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior private client lawyer within a highly regarded firm.  The ideal candidate will be at the NQ – 2 years’ PQE level, ideally with previous experience in private client work. Early 2023 qualifiers as well as 2nd year trainee’s looking to assign will also be considered.

Your key responsibilities will include: –

  • Advising high net worth clients and family business clients (including entrepreneurial clients) on the protection of their assets.
  • Accurately preparing and drafting legal documentation and correspondence relating to family and business governance, commercial and corporate issues, asset protection, succession and tax planning, and mediation.
  • Assisting clients to work out a succession plan alongside their Wills and estate planning.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with high-net-worth individuals in a commercial or private client environment.  You should also be STEP qualified or willing to work towards it.  This is a role with real prospects of career advancement and development and represents a great opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to make their mark in this area of law.  (Assignment 14758)

Banking Litigation – Glasgow

This Commercial Dispute Resolution Team is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join the team in Glasgow. The role will focus on contentious matters for a range of commercial clients and financial organisations. The team advise on a range of high-value and complex matters which include commercial and investment banking disputes.

Your key duties will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload for key commercial and financial services clients
  • Providing strategic and commercial legal advice on a range of contentious disputes and claims
  • Supporting the surrounding team with large projects and complex cases

To be considered for this position you should be at the NQ – 2 years’ PQE level and have experience of commercial litigation, financial services litigation or property litigation. (Assignment 14701)

Public Sector, FTC In-House Solicitor (Transport Scotland Unit) – Edinburgh 

This is a unique, temporary role for a qualified Solicitor, with this public sector organisation for a fixed term contract of 12 months. The role is based in Glasgow with a possibility of hybrid working. You will work within the Transport Unit, providing legal advice and support to Transport Scotland over a range of subject matters including bills, secondary legislation, and policy development. The unit is open to PQE level of candidates, but it is essential for candidates to be qualified in Scotland and hold a valid practising certificate. It would also be beneficial if you had experience or a keen interest to gain new skills in the following:

·Scottish public and administrative law
·Confident working in legislation
·Ability to provide clear and competent legal advice for government
·Build and maintain strong working relationships
·An ability to organise and prioritise your own workload

Previous public and administrative law experience is desirable, whether that be at local authority level or in respect of any similar public body or in private practice, so long as it demonstrated an understanding of the working of government. Applicants should be commercially aware in procurement and confident working with legislation. Previous experience of litigation/commercial property would also be beneficial but not essential. Although this position is advertised as full time, the team is also keen to hear from candidates seeking part time work (4 day week). The organisation operates a hybrid working policy with at least one day per week required in office, however, there can be flexibility on this for the right person. The team require someone who can start as soon as possible. (Assignment 14884)
