Antitrust, Competition & Trade Associate – Edinburgh/Glasgow (Assignment 16276)

We are currently working on this interesting role with a well-known international law firm. The firm is seeking an ambitious Solicitor to join its growing Competition Team on a full-time basis. This position can be based in either the firm’s Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

The role offers a balanced mix of transactional, contentious, and advisory work. Associates take on high responsibility and client contact from day one, including business development and cross-border work with international offices and travel. The team seeks a balanced practice across its core areas, including mainstream antitrust compliance and investigations, trade work, public procurement, merger control, and subsidy control and regulation.

Interested candidates at the NQ to 5 years’ PQE level should ideally have training or experience in public procurement and competition law, along with a willingness to learn about subsidy control and the UK’s new subsidy control regime following Brexit.

Residential Conveyancing – Glasgow (Assignment 16274)

Our client, a well-established law firm, is currently recruiting a newly qualified Solicitor to join its busy property department in Glasgow. The role will involve all aspects of residential conveyancing work including sales, purchases, and re-mortgages.

The ideal candidate will have traineeship experience in property law, particularly in residential conveyancing. You will be assisting fee earners in a busy conveyancing department with an established and growing client base. This is a full-time position, offering great quality work within a supportive environment.

Commercial Litigation Solicitor – Glasgow (Assignment 16269)

An exciting opportunity awaits at this successful global law firm, which is currently seeking to recruit a newly qualified solicitor to join its Commercial Litigation Team in Glasgow.  The team covers a wide range of commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, and criminal defence cases.

The role offers a stimulating and varied experience, dealing with disputes of all sizes and working with clients from medium to large corporations, including several publicly listed companies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in this area of law within a large commercial practice and be willing to learn new skills. This firm offers long-term opportunities through its recognised training and development programme.

Family Law – Highlands, Islands & Moray (Assignment 16239)

This award-winning Scottish Law Firm is currently recruiting for an additional Lawyer to join its Family Law team, located in the Highlands. The role can be based in either the firm’s Inverness, Elgin, or Thurso office, with an element of hybrid working available.

The Family Law team comprises specialists who deliver a full range of family services, including child contact and residence disputes, international child abduction, separation, dissolution of civil partnerships, cohabitation, and mediation.

The team welcomes applications from individuals who are newly qualified and upwards. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in family and child law, particularly the financial aspects of these areas. Exposure to the Sheriff Court and Court of Session is also preferable. This is a great opportunity to join a diverse and supportive work environment.

Corporate Energy – Aberdeen (Assignment 16238)

Our client, a global law firm, currently has a need for an additional Lawyer to join its highly regarded Energy Team in Aberdeen.

The team is the largest UK-based team dedicated to the energy sector and is responsible for providing advice to clients in a variety of areas including onshore and offshore energy projects, supply chain projects, commercial contracts advice, M&A (share and asset transactions) and regulatory advice.

The team is open to level of candidate from NQ level upwards with, ideally with energy and/or oil & gas experience, however, this is not essential. Applications from candidates with corporate and commercial experience who have a keen interest in the energy sector are also welcome, as the team handles a significant amount of work in these areas. This position is full-time and a great opportunity to join a fast-growing and friendly environment.

Commercial Property – Highlands, Islands & Moray (Assignment 16237)

This award-winning independent Scottish firm is currently seeking an additional Lawyer to join its growing Commercial Property Team. The position is located in the Highlands and can be based in either the firm’s Inverness, Elgin, or Moray office.

The Commercial Property Team is responsible for a variety of tasks, including leases and lease management work, property purchase and sales, developments, portfolio management, investments, and funding. The role’s main focus will be on working with clients in the north of Scotland, however, there is also the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the country and also internationally.

The team is happy to accept applications from candidates at all levels, including newly qualified individuals. While previous experience in commercial property is desirable, however it is not essential, as long as applicants can demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm in this area.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and experienced team, which is the largest team of lawyers in the north.

General Practice Solicitor – Wishaw (North Lanarkshire) (Assignment 16220)

Our client, a modern and well-established law firm, is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its conveyancing and litigation teams in Wishaw. The firm offers a wide range of legal services to both business and private clients.

The role will be interesting and varied with lots of client contact.  The firm advise a broad range of clients in areas such as private client, litigation, family law and residential conveyancing work. The postholder will have the opportunity to specialise in one of these areas while also providing general support to other departments as needed.  No day is the same working with this firm and lots of support is on hand from an experienced team.

The ideal candidate for this role will be at the NQ level, however, more experienced applicants would be welcomed as well. Previous experience in residential conveyancing, private client, litigation, or family law is desirable, however, candidates are not required to hold experience in all of these areas.
