A UK‑wide law firm is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its growing Scottish Liability team in Edinburgh, with flexibility for applicants based in Glasgow. The role involves defending complex insurance liability claims across motor, employers’ liability, and public liability at both pre‑litigation and litigated stages.

You will work closely with an experienced team and gain exposure to an impressive client base, including insurers, corporates, manufacturers, and construction companies. The position also offers hands‑on involvement in Sheriff Court and Court of Session matters, with opportunities to build advocacy skills and work on high‑value personal injury cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defending motor, EL/PL, and other liability claims.
  • Manage a mixed caseload across pre‑litigation and litigated matters.
  • Support senior team members on high‑value and complex personal injury work.
  • Engage with insurers and corporate clients and contribute to strong client relationships.
  • Draft pleadings, prepare case materials, and attend court as required.
  • Work collaboratively within a high‑performing team environment.

Candidates should be Scottish‑qualified at 1+ PQE level, ideally with experience in defender‑side personal injury work. Familiarity with EL/PL and motor claims, exposure to litigation, strong communication skills, and a proactive, team‑focused approach will be clear advantages. If this position could be of interest, please contact Cameron or Teddie for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 18078)
