Based in Edinburgh, these roles will focus on public sector litigation, supporting a team recognised for its expertise in public and administrative law. The work will include advising on statutory interpretation, the powers, and duties of public bodies, and representing clients in judicial reviews, appeals, and public inquiries. While experience in this area is preferred, it is not essential.
Applications are welcomed from solicitors at all stages of their careers, from newly qualified to Partner level. The ideal candidates will be client-focused, detail-oriented, and confident managing a varied caseload under pressure. A collaborative approach and strong communication skills are essential.
This award-winning law firm values integrity, flexibility, and community, offering competitive benefits, career growth, and a commitment to diversity.
Rural Property – Edinburgh (Assignment 17249)
Our client, a leading UK law firm headquartered in Scotland, is seeking a newly qualified Solicitor to join its Rural Property Team based in Edinburgh.
This permanent, full-time role offers a broad range of transactional work, including the sale and purchase of forestry, farms and estates, natural capital and renewables projects, and agricultural tenancies. Key responsibilities include managing client relationships, supporting business development, ensuring regulatory and internal compliance, and effectively using firm systems. While rural experience is advantageous, it is not essential, however applicants must have property law experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable firm that values collaboration and diversity. Participation in CSR initiatives and firm-wide activities is encouraged, with opportunities for long-term career development.
Personal Injury/Abuse – Edinburgh/Glasgow (Assignment 17146)
We have been instructed on this opportunity with our client, an international law firm with a strong reputation in litigation. The firm is currently seeking two Personal Injury/Abuse Lawyers to join its busy team in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office. These roles will primarily focus on supporting senior colleagues in the provision of litigation services and legal advice relating to personal injury matters, with a particular emphasis on abuse-related claims. The work may include handling sensitive and often complex cases involving institutional or historic abuse.
The firm is keen to hear from candidates at newly qualified level and above, and the roles will involve supporting partners and senior solicitors in the preparation of cases, including drafting pleadings, preparing for court hearings, and client engagement.
Experience in personal injury law or in a client-facing legal role is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage a varied caseload with care and efficiency, alongside a strong commitment to high-quality client service and professionalism, especially in sensitive matters. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and empathetic solicitors to develop their expertise in a well-regarded team with a supportive and flexible working culture.
