Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Senior Trade Mark Attorney to join its growing IP team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The role focuses on delivering commercially focused trade mark advice, managing a diverse client portfolio, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. The position offers hybrid working arrangements.

The team is collaborative and technology-focused, working closely with wider IP specialists across a range of matters, including both prosecution and disputes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Managing incoming work and allocating matters efficiently across the team, liaising directly with clients where appropriate.
  • Overseeing team capacity, utilisation, quality, and delivery of work.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting the development of junior team members and paralegals.
  • Providing strategic, commercially focused advice on trade mark and design matters.
  • Managing trade mark portfolios, including global filing strategies and coordination with international agents.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Trade Mark Attorney or Solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE, strong UK and international trade mark experience, proven supervisory skills, and a commercially minded, collaborative approach.
