Senior Renewables Lawyer – Edinburgh (Assignment 15382)

This award-winning commercial law firm is currently recruiting a Partner/Director to join its busy practice in Edinburgh on a full-time basis. The role will sit within the firm’s growing Renewable Energy department; the successful candidate will be responsible for building and developing the firms’ renewables practice. You will also work closely alongside the firms’ corporate teams on a range of commercial property matters.

To be considered for this role, you should be an experienced associate with at least 7 years PQE and come from a strong energy background. The team is keen to hear from both Scottish qualified and dual qualified lawyers (England and Wales).

Real Estate (Energy) – Edinburgh/Hybrid (Assignment 15422)

This global multinational law firm is recruiting an Associate or Senior Associate to join its market-leading Real Estate Energy team in Edinburgh.  This large team is currently seeking an associate with at least 4 years’ PQE, ideally with extensive knowledge of renewable energy projects, however, they are also keen to hear from candidates with strong commercial/rural property experience. Candidates at a more senior level are also encouraged to apply.

You can expect to undertake a range of land transactions and advisory work in support of a wide variety of projects both national and international. The work will include advising at all stages of the life cycle of energy and infrastructure projects including development, acquisition, disposal, and funding.

The team is keen to hear from candidates who are either Scots or dual qualified (Scotland & England).  This is a unique and interesting role within a friendly and supportive team and will give you exposure to high quality work for clients across the team and other offices. The firm also support a hybrid working model to allow for more work/life balance.

Legal Counsel (Property & Renewables) – Glasgow (Assignment 15426)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this new In-House role with our client, a renewable energy company which is one of the largest in the world. The role is based in the company’s Glasgow office. The role will be full-time on a permanent basis.

The company is currently recruiting an experienced Legal Counsel to join its highly regarded Legal team. The role will focus primarily on property work with some aspects of planning; its purpose is to provide support to an increasing number of renewable energy projects such as onshore wind, solar and battery storage. You can also expect to work closely with and provide support to the development teams within the business such as technology and commercial.

To be considered for this position, you should be a qualified lawyer in either Scotland or England and Wales, with at least 2+ years PQE. Dual qualified would be advantageous, otherwise candidates should show a willingness to become dual qualified.  Previous experience of property law is required as well as strong knowledge of the energy sector.

Real Estate/Renewables – Glasgow/Edinburgh (Assignment 15117)

This successful Scottish law firm is currently recruiting an experienced Solicitor to join its Renewables team in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. This is a unique role which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience within the clean energy sector. You will be involved in a broad range of renewable energy work including offshore and onshore projects, advising on M&A, understanding, and advising on complex titles, and assisting with the financing and trading of projects.

To be considered for this position, you should be at the 2-3 years PQE level with previous experience in a property related role. The team is keen to hear from candidates with a genuine interest for the renewables industry and previous exposure to renewable energy transactions gained in a previous role is preferred.

Renewable Energy Solicitors – Glasgow/Edinburgh (Assignment 15283)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this Energy role with our client, a well-established UK law firm. The firm is currently seeking two renewable energy lawyers to join its busy Land & Property team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The successful candidates can expect to be involved in a wide range of renewables projects including battery storage, large-scale wind farms, turbines solar and community schemes.

To be considered for this role, you should be a qualified solicitor between NQ level and 10 years PQE, ideally with experience of working within an energy environment. The role is full time however candidates seeking part-time work are also encouraged to apply. The firm also support a hybrid working approach to allow for more work/life balance.

Planning Solicitor – Glasgow (Assignment 15282)

We have been instructed on a role with our client, a leading Scottish-headquartered UK law firm. This dynamic team is currently recruiting a qualified solicitor to join its busy planning and environmental team based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will advise on projects in the energy sector, environmental consenting, and other development matters. You will also carry out research, drafting and negotiating legal agreements, compulsory purchase orders and Development Consent Orders, supporting inquiries, DCO hearings, and judicial reviews.   The team is seeking candidates between NQ-4 level PQE, ideally with previous experience in planning, consenting and environmental law while experience of working in the energy sector would be an advantage. Previous experience of property litigation is also desirable.
