This leading national law firm is seeking a Legal Director or Partner to join its expanding Private Client team in Glasgow. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced private client lawyer with a strong network of contacts, referrer relationships, or an existing client following to play a key role in the continued growth of a highly regarded private wealth practice.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on a broad range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, estate planning, succession planning, probate, and estate administration.
  • Providing tax-efficient wealth structuring advice to individuals, families, entrepreneurs, trustees, and family businesses.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with wealth managers, accountants, financial advisers, and other professional introducers.
  • Leading and mentoring junior lawyers while supporting the ongoing development of the wider team.
  • Playing an active role in business development initiatives and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.
  • Developing and expanding a personal client portfolio while supporting the success of the overall team.

Applicants should have significant post-qualification experience within a recognised private client practice and possess strong technical expertise across trusts, estates, succession planning, wealth preservation, and tax-related matters. Experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong commercial awareness, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven ability to win, retain, and develop client work. A portable client following or a clear business case for growth would be advantageous.

You will be joining a highly respected private wealth team with an excellent reputation for delivering tailored and commercially focused advice to a diverse client base. The role offers high-quality work, genuine leadership opportunities, flexible and agile working arrangements, extensive cross-referral opportunities within a full-service national firm, and the chance to play a significant role in shaping the future growth of a successful and ambitious practice.
