NQ Real Estate – Glasgow/Edinburgh (Assignment 16173)

Our client, an international Law Firm, currently has an open vacancy within its award-winning Real Estate Team. The firm is seeking newly qualified Lawyers in its Glasgow and/or Edinburgh office. The successful candidate will become part of a friendly and fast-paced team and will have the chance to engage in a variety of real estate transactions across multiple sectors, with a primary focus on investment, development, renewables, and asset management.

To be considered for this position, you should be a newly qualified lawyer, ideally having trained in the real estate department of a recognized large or medium-sized firm. Previous experience in commercial property or real estate is desirable but not essential, as long as candidates can demonstrate a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the property industry.

Real Estate – Edinburgh (Assignment 16169)

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to join its Real Estate Team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ PQE with previous experience working within the property sector.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of real estate matters and will act for a range of clients including farmers and real estate owners, housebuilders, banks and financial institutions, leisure operators, retailers, and industrial distribution companies.

The position is a key role within the Edinburgh office and is a great opportunity to join a well-established and friendly firm.

Commercial Property – Glasgow & Dundee (Assignment 16104)

We have been instructed on this new role by our client, a well-established and reputable law firm. The firm is currently recruiting for 2 Newly Qualified Solicitors to join its expanding Commercial Property teams in Glasgow and Dundee. The team advise a range of sectors across Scotland and the UK.

You will be involved in a range of interesting transactions, including acquisition & disposals, commercial leasing, and property finance.  Working with experienced colleagues, you will build a strong foundation for your commercial property career.

The firm is looking for candidates with residential or commercial property experience gained during your traineeship or post qualified with a strong academic background and ability to deliver exceptional service. The firm also welcomes candidates with additional experience due to growth opportunities within its Commercial Property teams.

Real Estate (Rural Business) – Edinburgh (Assignment 16165)

This leading Scottish law firm is currently seeking an additional Lawyer to join its Rural Business Team in Edinburgh, with the primary focus being on rural business matters and natural capital.  The successful candidate will join a highly respected and dynamic team that is continually evolving, requiring members who can adapt to clients’ needs and expectations.

Core tasks will involve –

  • Purchase and sale of estates, farms, forestry, and rural land.
  • Advising landowners on rural development like residential, renewables, telecommunications, and quarrying.
  • Providing ongoing legal management advice to estates and rural businesses, including land and property sales, land reform, and title conditions.
  • Handling agricultural holdings issues, including tenancies, equipment obligations, and pre-emptive rights to buy.
  • Advising on commercial, residential, sporting, and amenity leases.
  • Addressing complex title queries, such as boundary disputes and access issues.

The team is keen to hear from newly qualified lawyers who have recently completed a seat in property law during their traineeship. While this experience is desirable, it is not essential, provided candidates can demonstrate a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the rural property sector. Commercial awareness is key in this role.

Real Estate/Investments/Development/Asset Management – Edinburgh (Assignment 16164)

This top ranked firm is currently seeking an additional Lawyer to join its Commercial Property Team in Edinburgh, focusing mainly on investment and asset management matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner and will be a key part of the team. You will have the opportunity to be involved in asset management for properties in a range of sectors, and will also have a role in portfolio acquisitions, disposals and asset management, real estate financing and corporate support work.

Core tasks will involve –

  • Responsible for asset management for various types of client/properties and with your own portfolio of work
  • Drafting, negotiating and implementing sale and purchase contracts for a variety of transaction types including renewables, corporate occupier, development, investment and portfolio deals ranging across sectors such as logistics, retail and alternatives
  • Drafting and negotiating options, agreements for lease and leases and implementing instructions from your clients
  • Analysing and reporting on leases for investment acquisitions
  • Assisting with negotiation and implementation of development agreements and working with other members in other practice areas across the firm such as corporate, tax and construction

To be considered for this position, you will be a newly qualified Lawyer in either Scots Law or be dual qualified in Scotland and England. Individuals who are qualified in Scotland can expect to work towards becoming English qualified, whilst also continuing development as a Scots qualified Lawyer. Completion of a seat in commercial real estate during traineeship is desirable, however, it is not essential as long as interested applicants can demonstrate a keen interest in the property finance industry.

Commercial Property (& Residential Conveyancing) – Edinburgh (Assignment 16072)

We have been instructed on this new role with our client, a successful Solicitors and Estate Agents in Edinburgh who offer expertise in Employment Law, Property Law, Private Client, and Dispute Resolution. Currently, the firm is seeking a Property Lawyer for their Edinburgh office.

The chosen candidate can expect to advise on a mix of property matters including residential and commercial conveyancing. To be considered for this role, you will be at the NQ-2 PQE level, ideally with previous experience in these areas.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy a diverse range of tasks in their work.

Associate, Commercial Real Estate – Glasgow (Assignment 16024)

This renowned law firm is currently looking to recruit an Associate to join its Commercial Real Estate team in Glasgow.

You will be responsible for providing legal advice on commercial real estate matters to clients, negotiating contracts, and advising on all aspects involved in the sale, purchase, leasing, and development of commercial real estate.

The firm is open to candidates with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE with relevant experience in commercial real estate. Additionally, you will need the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, and ideally, have supervisory experience.

Residential Conveyancing – Glasgow (Assignment 16012)

This Glasgow-based law firm is currently recruiting a Senior Lawyer specialising in Residential Conveyancing to join its busy practice. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate/Legal Director to work closely with the Partner on a wide range of conveyancing matters, including collaborating with estate agents, managing property transactions, title transfers, contract drafting and review, negotiation, property inspections, and fund transfers.

To be considered for this position, you should possess a minimum of 5 years’ PQE with a strong background in conveyancing, ideally gained within a smaller firm setting. The team is keen to hear from individuals who are ambitious, confident in their own abilities and eager to progress their career within this area. A business following would be beneficial; however, it is not essential.

Property Associates/Senior Associates – Edinburgh and Glasgow (Assignment 15968)

This global law firm currently has two open vacancies within its well-established Commercial Property Team. Ideally, the firm is looking to place one candidate in its Edinburgh office, and one in its Glasgow office, however there is scope to be flexible on this for the right candidate.

The successful candidates can expect to work with some of the highest profile investors both UK and internationally on high profile commercial developments in the office, retail, logistics, student accommodation, and infrastructure sectors.

The desired level for both positions will be individuals at the 4-8 years’ PQE, ideally with previous experience in a similar role within a national or large regional practice. Real Estate Finance work and largescale asset management experience is desirable, however interested applicants are not expected to have experience in all areas mentioned, however you should have an interest in these areas of work and be eager to learn more.
