Dispute Resolution Associate – Guernsey (Assignment 15754)

This offshore law firm is currently recruiting a litigation lawyer to join its busy Dispute Resolution Team in Guernsey. The position is full-time, and the successful candidate will join a team of diverse lawyers from different backgrounds and levels of experience.

The team provides professional advice on all aspects of dispute resolution including contentious commercial issues. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling restructuring and insolvency matters.
  • Producing fee estimates and quotations and ensure clients are fully informed as to the fees and disbursements that will be incurred on each matter.
  • Managing your own financial responsibilities including time recording, billing, WIP and debt.
  • Staying up to date with new legislation and topics of interest in the relevant markets and how these changes affect clients and matters is also key.

The ideal candidate for this position will have between 1-3 years’ PQE with a background in litigation. Previous experience in handling complex commercial disputes would be beneficial.

Litigation, Insurance & Risk (Shipping & Transport) – Edinburgh (Assignment 15411)

Well-established Scottish Law firm currently recruiting a qualified solicitor to join its busy Shipping and Transport department based in Edinburgh.

You can expect to be involved in a mix of litigation matters including taking part in incident investigations, handling complex marine legal issues, handling general commercial claims in the marine sector and advocacy within the Sheriff Court. Experience in insurance, claims management, and health and safety protocols, particularly within the context of shipping, would be advantageous.

To be considered for this position, you should be at the 1+ PQE level with previous experience of litigation; previous experience working within the marine sector would also be beneficial.

Senior Associate/Associate Partner, Commercial & Insurance – Glasgow (Assignment 15623)

Our client, a leading provider of legal and claims solutions, is currently seeking a qualified solicitor to join its Commercial & Insurance team in Glasgow.  The team pride themselves on making an impact through providing excellent results through a solution focussed service.

You will be dealing with a case load of insurance litigation files including elements of commercial litigation, professional indemnity and property coverage engaging with insurer clients and their customers.

This is an interesting role open to candidates with at least 5 years’ PQE with experience in a similar role handling a full and varied caseload of insurance and commercial litigation files. If you have experience of working in the insurance industry, this would be beneficial but not essential.

You will be a dedicated individual who can inspire and supervise junior team members and be able to work to tight deadlines managing the lifecycle of a claim from start to finish. Senior Clinical Negligence – Glasgow (Assignment 15568)

This prominent law firm excelling in civil litigation is in search of an associate or senior associate to join their well-established Glasgow practice. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years’ PQE at the associate level, with senior associate candidates expected to have at least 5 years’ PQE.

The team is interested in individuals with a solid foundation in litigation and a proven track record in clinical negligence cases. This is a full-time position and offers the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements along with a competitive salary package.

Housing, Court, Mental Health – Glasgow & Greenock (Assignment 15947)

We have been exclusively instructed on three new roles with our client, a successful Scottish Law Centre and Charity. The organisation is currently seeking Solicitors to join its Housing, Court and Mental Health Department with the opportunity to work from home a few days per week. There are two positions available in Glasgow and one in Greenock.

The department is responsible for providing professional legal advice and assistance on housing matters including mental health, community care, preventing homelessness, discrimination, welfare benefits and social security. The work will be extremely varied, and the role would be suited to candidates with a genuine interest in social justice.

The team is keen to hear from candidates between 1-3 years’ PQE and will also consider early NQ 2024 qualifiers. The organisation is also open to re-training, should the individual have a strong interest in this area.

Litigation/Dispute Resolution Solicitor – Glasgow (Assignment 15517)

We are delighted to have been instructed on this new senior litigation role with our client, an established law firm based in Glasgow with expertise in areas such as employment law, litigation, family law, personal injury claims and private client. Due to firm growth, there is currently a need for an experienced lawyer to join its busy practice in Central Glasgow and with clear partnership prospects.

The successful candidate can expect to be involved in all aspects of litigation/disputes including debt recovery, contract disputes, property disputes, executries/wills disputes and professional negligence.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5+ years PQE with a strong background in litigation; previous experience of handling complex disputes is required as well as the ability to handle a large and varied caseload. This is a full-time position however, candidates seeking part-time work (4 days) are also encouraged to apply.
