This leading international law firm is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its Public Sector and Insurance Litigation team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and sensitive litigation matters, acting for insurers, local authorities, public bodies, charities and other organisations across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied caseload of employer’s liability, public liability, motor and personal injury claims.
  • Defending complex and sensitive historic abuse and safeguarding cases.
  • Advising clients on liability issues involving human rights, Equality Act and workplace-related claims.
  • Assisting with Fatal Accident Inquiries and associated civil litigation.
  • Representing clients in court hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Building client relationships and contributing to training, legal updates and business development activities.

Applicants should be Scottish qualified solicitors with 5+ years’ PQE, ideally with strong defender personal injury litigation experience. Experience acting for insurers, local authorities or public sector clients would be advantageous. Candidates should have excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills, together with the ability to manage complex and often high-profile matters with confidence and sensitivity.
