Our client, a well-regarded Scottish law firm, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding team in Edinburgh. Solicitors at all levels of PQE will be considered, with previous commercial litigation experience desirable. Newly qualified lawyers will also be considered.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues, including Solicitor Advocates, across a broad range of commercial litigation matters. The role offers excellent opportunities for career development, ongoing training and exposure to complex and interesting work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial disputes from instruction through to resolution
  • Advising on contract, shareholder, partnership, property and professional negligence disputes
  • Handling court proceedings, including urgent applications for interim orders and judicial review
  • Advising on insolvency-related litigation, debt recovery and enforcement
  • Supporting clients through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation
