Exciting opportunity for an Associate in Real Estate to join a busy team based in Edinburgh. Our client is a successful UK law firm, headquartered in Scotland and currently has a need for an Associate to join its Infrastructure team which sits within its Real Estate department. The post holder will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Negotiating and completing wayleave agreements, deeds of servitudes, leases and related contracts for utilities transactions.
  • Assisting on all aspects of compulsory purchase law and procedure including preparation of statutory orders and notices, managing service of notices, and dealing with voluntary purchases.
  • Negotiating option agreements and leases for renewables developments for landowner clients, including wind, solar, hydro, battery storage and hydrogen production.
  • Liaising with clients and project partners; dealing with day-to-day queries and instructions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years PQE. A strong background in Real Estate is essential to this role and previous experience of working in an Infrastructure environment would also be advantageous. The firm is open to hearing from candidates with a genuine interest for renewables, telecoms and CPO work.
