Senior Associate/Legal Director, Real Estate, Commercial Property

A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced senior associate up to legal director level (7+ years PQE) to join its Real Estate team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value investment, financing, and development transactions across sectors such as retail, leisure, offices, life sciences, and education. You will be involved in major projects, cross-border deals, and independent transactions for clients active in Scotland and beyond.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Acting for private equity, high-net-worth, international retail and overseas investors on Scottish investment property acquisitions and disposals.
  • Advising on the acquisition and disposal of shopping centres, retail parks and high-value High Street assets.
  • Working alongside leading City and US firms on the Scottish aspects of UK-wide and pan-European property portfolio transactions.
  • Advising on Scottish real estate aspects of corporate acquisitions, including input into Share Purchase Agreements.
  • Acting for traditional and alternative lenders on high-value real estate financings across a range of sectors.
  • Advising on the asset management of high-profile retail properties, including lettings, lease re-gears, variations and related documentation
