World Mental Health Day 2022

Oct 2022

“If you know someone who’s depressed please resolve to never ask them why. Depression isn’t a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather. Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness and loneliness they’re going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It’s hard to be a friend to someone who’s depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest and best things you will ever do.” — Stephen Fry

As Monday, 10th October, marks World Mental Health we would like to highlight a charity close to our hearts which we are proud to support, YoungMinds.  YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Young people’s experiences are the most important tool in changing mental health practice and opinions. They work with young people everyday to campaign for improved mental health care and better services, put pressure on stopping further funding cuts and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health by raising awareness online and in the media.

FWA have signed the Mental Health in Recruitment ‘Awareness to Action’ Pledge, FWA pledge to change how mental health is viewed, supported and talked about in our workplace.
