Senior Rural Property Solicitor, Edinburgh or Glasgow

This leading law firm are currently recruiting a Solicitor with between 4 – 10 years’ pqe to join its Rural Land and Business team. The successful candidate will have excellent commercial and property law skills and the opportunity exists to expand and develop specialist knowledge within a supportive team environment. This will be a varied and interesting role for a pro-active and enthusiastic lawyer. Your key duties will include:

Acting on behalf of our retained Estate and land owning clients including advising on residential, agricultural, sporting and commercial leases
Undertaking sales/purchases of estates, forestry, farms, country houses, steading conversions/plots and cottages
Undertaking security work for commercial lenders
Representing land owners in all aspects of rural property work and providing clear, practical and commercial advice for clients
Providing advice on the impact of law reform
Undertaking and managing a personal workload
Actively participating in business development opportunities
