This established team is currently recruiting a Senior Solicitor to join its Rural Property Team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.  The team provides legal advice across the rural sector and advises a range of clients including major estate owners, owner-occupiers, tenants, commercial lenders, property investors, family businesses, charities, community bodies, and private individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting on behalf of Estate and landowning clients including advising on residential, agricultural, sporting, and commercial leases
  • Undertaking sales/purchases of estates, forestry, farms, country houses, steading conversions/plots, and cottages
  • Undertaking security work for commercial lenders
  • Representing landowners in all aspects of rural property work and providing clear, practical, and commercial advice for clients
  • Providing advice on the impact of law reform
  • Undertaking and managing a personal workload
  • Actively participating in business development opportunities
