This successful law firm is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its family law team in Edinburgh.  The ideal candidate will be 4-7 years’ PQE, with experience in Family Law.

You will be involved in a range of interesting and high-value work and some of your tasks will include:

  • Providing solution-orientated advice to clients on financial provision upon separation and divorce would be the main focus of your practice. Acting for clients in child related matters including residence and contact disputes. Experience in child relocation cases, international child abduction adoption, surrogacy, and cross border cases would be desirable, but not required.
  • Engaging, meeting and advising clients on your own. Taking excellent care of clients from the beginning of their cases through to the end.
  • Drafting financial settlement agreements, pre and post nuptial and cohabitation agreements and providing clear advice on the legal implications of those documents.
  • When the need arises, drafting pleadings and conducting advocacy in Sheriff Court litigation.  Experience of instructing and working alongside counsel in Court of Session litigation would be helpful but is not required.
