We are currently working on this interesting role within this successful Scottish firm.  The team has a need for a Risk and Compliance Director to provide support in ensuring that the systems and controls the firm has in place are sufficient to enable the firm, its partners, managers and employees to comply with their obligations.  You will be involved in a range of diverse work and some of your duties will include:

• Promoting and implementing a culture of regulatory compliance.
• Assisting in devising and implementing an internal compliance failure reporting process
• Overseeing the day to day management of a central Compliance Failure Register,
• Playing an active role in the firms internal audit programme.

The team is keen to hear from ambitious candidates looking for their next challenge, with at least 10 years’ PQE.  To be considered for this position you should have knowledge of law society regulations, excellent commercial awareness and the firm is also open to different background including corporate.  Candidates wishing to work 3 or 4 days would be considered.

This position can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, although if Glasgow based you will be required to be in Edinburgh 1 day per week initially, and then as and when required.  The team work on a hybrid basis.
