This innovative in-house organisation currently has a need for an ambitious Solicitor to join its team in Edinburgh.  The ideal candidate will have between 3-5 years’ pqe and have a genuine interest in developing your career in this area.  The ideal candidate will be qualified as a solicitor or advocate/barrister in one or both of Scotland and England and have significant technical experience in the field of pensions, ISAs, investments and/or protection products.

The candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following skills or experience:

  • Good knowledge of pensions law, related legislation and technical requirements relating to pensions.
  • Good technical knowledge of post-A day pensions regime with particular reference to HMRC, DWP and Regulator guidelines and practice and to the different types of pension product that are generally available in the market, and/or
  • Good knowledge of other areas of law that impact on the administration of ISA and protection products
  • General knowledge of life and pensions industry in general
  • A knowledge of how investment funds work, and previous experience of investment fund management agreements would be an advantage but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior pensions lawyer to be involved in some of the most interesting work available in the sector.  Part-time working would be considered.  A market leading salary and benefits package is available for the successful candidate.  (Assignment 10408)
