Our client, a financial consultant organisation based in Scotland, is currently recruiting for a junior Legal Counsel to join its busy in-house team based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. The successful candidate will act as an internal consultant for the team, advising various business areas within the firm such as the pension, employer, and financial services clients. You will handle legal matters such as:

• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts.
• Developing knowledge and understanding of key area’s propositions, core business and associated risks.
• Support proposition and client-based projects with legal advice.
• Draft best practice notes on topical issues for use across the firm, developing and maintaining processes, policies, guidance, and templates and assist in training.

The firm is keen to hear from candidates from the NQ level and upwards. Previous experience in financial services, pensions or with a professional services firm would be advantageous. You will have extensive dealings directly with the consultants in the firm, including partners therefor, confidence is key within this role.
