We have just been instructed, as sole agency, on this public-sector position in Edinburgh.  This is an interim position for 23 months.  You will be dedicated to assisting a specific Inquiry and will be involved in the following;

  • Working closely with Inquiry Counsel, paralegals and the Inquiry’s Document Management Team on investigations.
  • Providing legal advice to the Chair and other members of the Inquiry team.
  • Assessing applications under the Inquiries legislation.
  • Assisting the Solicitor with the assessment of accounts where funding for legal representation has been granted and liaising with legal representatives.
  • Supervising/managing the work of the paralegal team.

You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic team and will work to tight deadlines.  To be considered for this position you should at least 2 years’ PQE in a litigation role, however candidates with experience in other areas of law will also be considered should they be able to demonstrate transferable skills.  Public law experience would also be beneficial.  If this position interests you, please do not hesitate to contact either Cameron or Frasia for an initial and confidential discussion.  (Assignment 14186)
