Interim Public Sector Solicitor – Edinburgh

We are exclusively working on this 12 month FTC with this public sector organisation based in Edinburgh.  You will have an interesting and varied caseload which will include advising on all aspects relating to food and drink trade policies.  You will also be involved in international law advising on the implementation of the UK EU Trade and Co-operation agreements.

The team is keen to hear from candidates with at least 1 years’ PQE and an understanding of public and administrative law.

Although, the team is based in Edinburgh they do work on a hybrid basis. (Assignment 14508)

In-house Interim Commercial Solicitor – Edinburgh

Exciting opportunity to join this in-house commercial legal team for a 6 months FTC, with the possibility of extension.  You will have a varied and challenging workload advising on all aspects of commercial contracts.  You will be responsible for providing advising on commercial contract drafting, public procurement, subsidy control, public law, data protection, freedom of information, governance, RIPSA, corporate law, construction law and housing law.

To be considered for this position you should have at least 2 years’ PQE and have previous commercial contracts experience.

Although the team is Edinburgh based, remote working would be considered. (Assignment 14509)

Interim Litigation Solicitor, Public Sector – Edinburgh

We are delighted to be exclusively working on a new fixed term 6 month interim role for this public sector body based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to join this friendly team who work very closely together on a fast moving, high profile and high value suite of litigation in the Court of Session.

Some your key duties will include:

  • analysing significant amounts of information to determine what is relevant,
  • instructing expert witnesses.
  • working closely with law accountants in relation to fees being claimed by a number of pursuers whose cases have settled and are now seeking significant amounts of expenses dealing with legal agents for the pursuers. All external agents are experienced criminal practitioners and are focussed in pursuing all avenues open to them in pursuit of their clients’ interests. There are negotiations with these agents over difficult issues, both legal and tactical.
  • liaising with witnesses and their legal advisers, often in relation to very sensitive issues.
  • preparation for Proof, including preparation of witness statements and preparation of productions.
  • preparation for mediation.
  • feeding into important communication and handling dimensions

To be considered for this role you should have at least 3 years’ PQE in civil litigation. Flexible working and a 4 day week would be considered for this position.  (Assignment 14456)

Interim In-house Commercial Property Solicitor – Glasgow

This in-house organisation currently has a need for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its team on an interim basis.  This is an interesting role where you will be involved in all aspects of commercial property.  You will also be involved in the operations and engineering aspects of the business.

To be considered for this position you should have at least 2 years’ PQE  and have previous commercial property experience.  Candidates out with this PQE would be considered.

Although, the office is Glasgow based the team work on a hybrid basis. (Assignment 14505)

Interim Construction Solicitor – Edinburgh, Glasgow or Remote

This busy Construction Team currently has a need for an experienced Solicitor to join the team on a flexible interim basis.  The team advise on all aspects of construction including planning & environment, renewables and conflict resolution.  This role will have a focus on non-contentious construction.

To be considered for this position you should have at least 4 years’ PQE and previous non-contentious construction experience.

This is a part-time position and can be based at the Edinburgh or Glasgow offices.  The team is keen to hear from candidates who wish to work remotely. (Assignment 14499)

Interim Corporate Solicitor – Edinburgh

This firm is currently recruiting an Interim Solicitor to join its corporate team in Edinburgh.  Relevant corporate experience is required at the 3+ PQE level.  You will be involved with a range of work including dealing with commercial company setup, M&A and restructuring as well as commercial contracts, data protection and other commercial legal work.

The firm is open to someone supporting some of these areas and could tailor the role around the person’s experience. Part-time and blended working would be considered. (Assignment 14512)

Interim Legal Counsel – Glasgow/Remote

We have just been exclusively instructed on this interim in-house role based in Glasgow/remotely. Our client is looking to add a Legal Counsel to team for the interim period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

The ideal candidate will be at the NQ – 5 years’ PQE level.  The organisation is keen to hear from candidates with commercial transactions experience, e.g., commercial contracts, corporate, commercial litigation and company secretary.

This is an interesting a varied role where you will provide general corporate and commercial support to the busy legal team.  You will be involved in all aspects of corporate law matters in relation to the organisation which will including M&A matters.

This role is predominantly remote, with the team meeting once per week in the office.

This organisation is looking for an individual who is a self-starter, shows initiative, enjoys variety and is focused on an in-house career. The role offers a salary commensurate with experience plus other desirable benefits. (Assignment 14322)

Interim Private Client Solicitor or Paralegal (part-time) – Edinburgh

The National Trust for Scotland currently has a need for an experience Paralegal or Solicitor to join its friendly team on a 12 month FTC starting February 2023.  This is a part-time role for 2.5 days per week and will involve advising on all aspects of private client work.  Some of your duties will include:

  • Advising on planning, budgeting, and regularly reporting on the receipt income.
  • Providing advice, recommendations and assistance on the management and administration
  • Managing the administration of all income received by the organisation
  • Maintaining accurate records of income on both the CRM and Finance systems

Candidates should have strong private client experience, as well as good knowledge of legacies and succession planning.  The team is open to the level of candidates and would accept NQ applications, if they had the correct experience.

This role is Edinburgh based with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis or predominately from home. (Assignment 14521)
