This prestigious law firm with offices worldwide is currently recruiting for a senior-level lawyer to join its Privacy and Data team. This is a full-time role and can be based in either Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen.

This is an in-house role advising the firm on its privacy and data compliance. Main duties will include completing research on data-related and privacy matters (focussing primarily on the UK), managing client confidentiality, risk management and data protection within the business, directly interfacing with client-facing lawyers on data and privacy issues across different offices, providing assistance on privacy assessments and reviewing and advising on projects and procurement.

The ideal candidate for this position will have between 3-5 years PQE with solid experience in data protection, gained ideally within a commercial environment. Applicants should also ideally have an ISEB Certificate or other qualification in data protection.  Previous experience of drafting privacy notices and policies as well as carrying out risk assessments would also be beneficial.
