This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with at least 3 years post qualification to make a move to an in-house role within this dynamic organisation.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with excellent commercial/company law experience to deliver a range of high-quality legal advice and assistance, which meets the commercial and strategic needs of various areas of the business. The role will involve –

  • You will identify and manage legal risk providing targeted, commercially focused regulatory legal advice on products and product development, processes, polices and customer documentation to various departments including general insurance, banking, digital and marketing departments.
  • Assisting with the negotiating, drafting and reviewing of commercial contracts.
  • Proactively challenging, advising and influencing the business on legal issues and developments in order to protect the interests of the Insurance Division and develop its business.
  • Building and maintaining internal network and relationships to provide appropriate professional advice to achieve the Group’s objectives.
  • Assisting the business in managing contractual relationships and disputes;
  • Effectively overseeing and managing external legal resources and preferred legal suppliers.

Ideally you should have financial services experience gained either in private practice or industry and have experience of advising senior management of blue-chip organisations on the mitigation of legal risks.
