In-House Interim Advisory & Legislation Solicitor – Edinburgh/Hybrid

We are currently working, as sole agency, on this interim position within this public sector organisation based in Edinburgh.  It is looking to recruit a temporary solicitor to join its Advisory and Legislation team; the contract is expected to last up to 3 months.

You will be involved in all aspects of advisory and legislation, and act in the development and delivery of legislation, policy, and public service across Scotland.  The organisation is keen to hear from candidates at all levels, with good knowledge of, or a strong interest in advisory and legislative law. Previous experience of civil litigation (preferably judicial review and human rights), criminal and property law would also be beneficial.  The role requires the ability to manage information and interpret data to make sound decisions and provide high quality legal advice.

The team is open to flexible working patterns, and hybrid working is under development. Decisions about time spent in the office or elsewhere are decided between each individual and their line manager, taking into account business, well-being and other needs.
