We are delighted to have been instructed on this In-House Corporate role with our client, an offshore international organisation dedicated to the energy sector. Due to business expansion, the organisation is currently seeking a Project Finance Solicitor to join its Corporate Legal team; the post holder will be based in Edinburgh, however there is options of Hybrid working. Occasional travel abroad to other offices may be required from time to time.

This is an interesting and varied role and a great chance to gain in-house experience if this were something of interest. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating on financial legal documents.
  • Reviewing contracts relating to offshore wind projects.
  • Handling and advising on complex commercial issues arising from contracts.
  • Identifying and managing legal risks of projects.
  • Involvement in litigation matters with the financing of projects.

The team is keen to hear from candidates from three years post qualified upwards. Prior experience and knowledge of project finance and clean energy would be beneficial for the role, but candidates with general transactional experience will also be experienced. The ability to be able to multitask and oversee numerous projects simultaneously is key to this role.
