In-house Corporate Counsel, part-time – Edinburgh/London

This in-house organisation is currently recruiting Corporate Counsel to join the team.  You will focus on corporate finance and provide specialist legal support on a range of matters.

 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Principal Business Partner to Early Ventures Fund, advising on corporate, investment and related compliance matters; supporting the investment team on all the legal aspects of the fund’s transactions whilst working closely with key internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • Apply legal knowledge and experience to anticipate, define and resolve complex issues that impact the function and organisation.
  • Design and implement process improvements for effective risk management on corporate and investment transactions.
  • Develop and maintain template agreements for use in corporate and investment transactions.
  • Instruct and work with external counsel, as appropriate.
  • Ensures contractual matters arising in investment and commercial agreements (including IP/patent in or out licensing) and company start-ups are managed appropriately.

 

 

Interested candidates should have at least 5 years’ PQE.  Travel to London will be required, and you will be required to do a minimum of two days per week in Edinburgh.  Applications are welcomed from those seeking both full-time and part-time working.
