We have just been instructed on this new in-house role based in Glasgow.  Our client is looking to add a Commercial Lawyer to the team.  The ideal candidate will be at the NQ – 3 years’ pqe level and should have experience of drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and knowledge of employment law, contract law, IP, public procurement and regulatory compliance.  You will have core experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, with a desire to support the wider business with project specific work, whether dealing introducing new processes such as GDPR compliance across the group, support M&A activity, or supporting training initiates.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing a variety of legal contracts including: supply agreements, software licensing agreements, public sector framework contracts, GDPR and other commercial agreements
  • Monitoring activities on assigned transactional matters which may include development of standard contract forms
  • Maintaining contracts database and workflows; monitoring of legal tasks and workload
  • Provide legal support in all kinds of commercial activity, including due diligence, compliance, M&A, and corporate work.
