Employment Solicitor – Dispute Resolution (12m Maternity Cover) – Glasgow / Edinburgh (Assignment 15380)
This leading Scottish law firm is currently recruiting a qualified Employment solicitor to join its well-established Dispute Resolution team. The role will involve all aspects of employment law work including:
The firm is open to hearing from candidates at a more senior level, ideally with 5 years PQE and above although strong candidates at a more junior level are encouraged to apply. You will be motivated and organised with the ability to produce work to a high standard, be commercially minded, and have a strong client focussed approach. This role is offered on a full-time and part-time interim basis for 12 months. The firm offer a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package.
FT/PT, Tax & Succession Lawyer – Edinburgh / Hybrid (Assignment 15333)
This successful firm currently has a need for a qualified Lawyer to join one of its Tax & Succession Teams. The role will be based in Edinburgh; however, the firm support a hybrid working approach. You will advise a range of clients in all aspects of estate planning, trusts and asset protection as well as dealing with executries and wills drafting. The firm is open to hearing form Scottish qualified candidates at the 5-year PQE level and above, however, consideration will be given to candidates at any level who can demonstrate ambition and who set high standards for themselves. You will be a strong team player with sound practical and technical experience and be a full STEP member or willing to complete the STEP diploma (funded by the firm). This is a full-time or part-time position with a firm who offer excellent support and training opportunities.
Planning Solicitor, Dispute Resolution – Glasgow / Edinburgh (Assignment 15379)
This dynamic law firm is currently recruiting a qualified Planning solicitor to join its growing planning team. The role will involve both contentious and non-contentious planning work and all aspects of planning law. The firm is open to hearing from candidates at a more senior level, ideally with 4 years PQE and above although strong candidates at a more junior level are encouraged to apply. Candidates qualified in Scots law or dual qualified in Scots and English law are preferred, however those who are English law qualified interested in dual qualifying would also be considered. The firm offer a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package. This is a full-time position; however, consideration will be given to part-time and flexible working. Commercial Property Solicitor – Glasgow / Hybrid (Assignment 15378)
This growing organisation is currently recruiting an ambitious Solicitor who is keen to grow their career in-house. The role reports to the Legal Director and the main focus is commercial property and some commercial contract work. Commercial leasing is a large part of the role, as well as sale and purchase, and occasional property development work. There could be opportunity to be involved in more varied work, depending on the successful candidate’s experience, such as banking and IP. To be considered for this role you should be around the 5 years’ PQE level with commercial property experience, however, candidates out with this level would also be considered. This role is part-time, between 2.5 and 4 days, although the hours could be completed over 5 days. Hybrid working is on offer.
Employment, Immigration & Pensions – Edinburgh/Glasgow/East Lothian/Shetland/Hybrid (Assignment 15329)
Our client, one of Scotland’s largest full-service law firms, currently has a need for a Solicitor within its Employment, Immigration and Pensions team. The role is primarily based in Edinburgh, however there is flexibility in terms of hybrid working or working from another office. The role will involve acting for employers, both in the Employment Tribunal and in relation to settlement agreements as well as defending Government bodies and Education clients against litigation.
Your responsibilities will include:
The firm are looking for candidates at the NQ-3 PQE level, however more experienced candidates will be considered. You will be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, managing a varied workload and have the ability to deliver an excellent service to clients. Experience in business development activities will be an advantage. The role is offered on a full-time basis; however, part-time and flexible working arrangements will also be considered.
Private Client Solicitor – Edinburgh (Assignment 15259)
This client-focussed Scottish firm is seeking a qualified solicitor to join its Private Client team in Edinburgh. The team advise on all aspects of trust and executry administration, the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, Guardianships, tax and succession planning and other private client related matters, such as the administration of the financial affairs of elderly clients in residential or nursing care. The firm is open to candidates with at least 3 years’ PQE, with previous private client experience. You will be able to communicate in a confident, clear, and relaxed manner and enjoy working as part of a close and well-integrated team. This is a full-time position however the firm is open to applications form individuals looking for part time hours.
