This telecommunications infrastructure company are currently recruiting a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join its in-house legal team in Edinburgh, although this role could also be based from Glasgow.  The ideal candidate should have at least 1 years’ pqe and have experience of working in a commercial role, experience of property law would be an advantage but not essential.  The role involves providing support to the commercial and operations teams, and the successful candidate would be expected to develop a broad skill base to encompass commercial contract negotiation specific to the business.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Developing a detailed understanding of key commercial agreements across the business;
  • Advising and supporting commercial and contractual negotiations including drafting and review of heads of terms, master agreements and more general commercial documentation;
  • Provide contract and commercial support on acquisitions (ranging from portfolio acquisitions to single site purchases) through negotiation and execution of acquisition agreements together with providing general diligence support;
  • Monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and key milestone requirements;
  • Working with operations teams to manage the contracts which underpin these arrangements and develop ongoing relationships; and
  • Provide support for delivery and estate management functions with a focus on drafting, negotiation, approval and execution of relevant documentation.
