We are currently working on a new role with our client, a successful UK law firm, headquartered in Scotland. The firm is seeking a Senior Solicitor/Associate to join its Employment and Immigration team, based in Edinburgh.  The main purpose of the role is to provide professional advice and support to clients on a broad spectrum of employment issues.

Tasks may include:

  • Taking and drafting witness statements
  • Appearance at employment tribunals
  • Conducting pre-hearing reviews
  • Drafting ET3 submissions
  • Providing clients with advice in relation to day-to-day employment law matters via phone, email, and face to face
  • Review of contracts and policies and procedures for clients
  • Supervising the work of those less qualified and contributing to the development of the team, where appropriate

This role is full time and would suit candidates at the 2+ years PQE level with previous experience handling employment law issues within a commercial firm.  An associate position may be available for candidates with sufficient experience.  Applicants should have a genuine interest in employment law and an enthusiastic approach to their work, along with the ability to work well within a team and work in close partnerships with clients.
