Our client, a successful Scottish law firm, is currently recruiting for a Data Protection Solicitor to join its busy Data Protection team. The firm is flexible on location and this position can be based in either Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Angus, Fife or Perth. The firm is one of the largest full-service law firms in Scotland, working with a diverse range of clients across the public, private and third sectors. You will support the wider team in working with clients across a broad range of sectors including healthcare, retail, technology, research and development, professional services, and education.

The role will involve:
– Creating and supporting execution of data protection compliance plans
– Data protection impact assessments and managing risk for new processing activities.
– Delivery of client training
– Legal research on complex data protection issues
– Data protection gap analysis’

The team is open to qualified solicitors of all levels, ideally with previous data protection experience. This is a full-time position with genuine prospects to advance your career in this area.
