We have been instructed on this role with our client, a multinational law firm. The firm is currently recruiting a Conflicts Lawyer to join its Risk Management team in Glasgow. You will be part of a team of conflict lawyers working with a dedicated conflict search team (CST) of analysts, identifying and resolving conflicts of interest and working to resolve issues, reporting to and working with the Deputy General Counsel.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Understanding and identifying wider commercial, risk and reputational issues.
  • Reviewing and maintaining the firm’s conflicts and confidentiality policies.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for conflicts issues from CST.
  • Liaising with partners and senior stakeholders to obtain further information to assist with conflicts analysis.
  • Acting as subject matter expert for legal and commercial conflicts.

The ideal candidate for this position will be between the 2-3years PQE level, preferably with experience in a prior role as a conflict lawyer at an international law firm. You will be able to work autonomously and robustly, have incisive analytical and research skills and have the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and projects.
