We are currently working on an exciting new role with our client, a leading Scottish Law Firm. A vacancy has arisen within the firm’s Banking & Finance Team for a junior Lawyer, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This is one of the largest teams of its kind in Scotland, handling a broad range of financial matters including real estate finance, corporate lending, securitisation and structured finance, and financial regulation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as Scots counsel on the Scottish elements of UK-wide cross-border financings, including securitisations, structured finance, loan book trades, and warehouse deals.
  • Leading UK transactional banking work for lenders and borrowers, covering corporate lending, acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate, clean energy, and infrastructure—using bespoke and LMA-based documentation.
  • Building sector-specific knowledge across finance, energy, tech, hospitality, and food & drink.
  • Advising financial institutions on products, services, and regulatory issues.

The ideal candidate will be at NQ–2 years PQE and will have gained experience in banking and finance during their traineeship. Experience with, or an interest in, legal technology products such as e-signing and transaction management platforms is desirable, though not essential.
