Assistant Legal Counsel - Glasgow/Edinburgh/Hybrid

Our client, a financial services organisation, has instructed us on a new position for an in-house assistant legal counsel. Interested candidates should have experience in dispute resolution. The role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with the additional benefit of hybrid working (2 days per week) on offer.

The role will include:

Providing legal advice on any dispute/potential dispute related issues
Providing legal advice on any data breaches
Work with colleagues across the business to understand the background to issues, direct investigations as required and provide clear recommendations for resolution.

The ideal candidate should be a qualified solicitor (NQ-3 years’ PQE) or an experienced paralegal with relevant experience, either in-house or in private practice, in an FCA regulated environment or financial services or professional services firm. Previous exposure to pensions and/or actuarial professional standards would be beneficial, but not essential.
