A new position of Professional Support Lawyer has been created within our Corporate Group, providing support to the Corporate teams in our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. The person appointed will report to the Group Head. The principal role will be to provide expert assistance in the development, management and dissemination of the Group's precedents and standard form documents. A further key dimension will involve research and analysis of new law and practice and of the provision of regular technical updates and briefings to the Corporate Group and other related Groups (eg Banking and Finance). In the medium to longer tem it is expected that this role will encompass the production of briefing material for clients and assisting with the production of technical information in support of the Firm's marketing and business development objectives.
To be considered, candidates will be expected to demonstrate a track record of achievement as a Corporate practitioner in a mid-tier or large firm and are likely to be currently at leat at Associate level. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate that he/she has had recent transactional exposure to most or all of the following: mergers and acuisitions; joint ventures; shareholder agreements; limited partnerships; and limited liability partnerships.
Location-wise, the position can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
