We are currently going through
some pivotal changes and a period of exciting growth.
As a result, an opportunity now exists for a senior
commercial and funds lawyer to join our well-established
in-house legal team. Working closely with the Head
of Legal and Company Secretary you will be responsible
for managing a team of lawyers and the company secretarial
function, as well as advising on a wide range of issues
in relation to our group activities.
As well as a demonstrable track record in general
commercial contracts and financial services, we would
prefer candidates who have had experience working
with funds. Scottish Widows is one of the largest
fund providers in the country with 5 OEICs with more
than 40 sub funds and AUM of approximately £15.7bn.
Therefore, a working knowledge of OEICs, the OEIC
Regs, COLL, investment management, administration
and distribution agreements would be advantageous.
It is also essential that candidates are able to
operate at the highest level in the company and demonstrate
commercial acumen and the management skills necessary
to manage a diverse workload within our fast paced
environment.
You should be currently employed in a comparative
financial services organisation or a leading private
practice firm. In return, an excellent salary package
