Due to restructuring within the legal function a vacancy has arisen for an experienced commercial lawyer to work within the Energy Wholesale team in Glasgow. With at least 8 years' pqe, you will undertake an interesting and varied caseload on behalf of the company's business units.
The successful applicant will report to the General Secretary and Head of Legal and will provide day-to-day commercial advice and be involved in complex legal issues including contractual, transactional, construction and regulatory issues.
The role also involves management and development of a small legal team .
The ideal candidate will show strong commercial acumen and have a real enthusiasm for their work. You will either be an in-house lawyer seeking a fresh challenge or a private practice lawyer keen to move in-house.
